My Math Skills

During this school year, I think that in math class my skills have gotten better, i dont know whether it is because Im paying more attention in class or because Im practicing in class. My math skills during the year have increased and been better than last year's skills, because Im more confident in myself now, I believe that I can pass this class with a good grade, like last quarter. Im sure that if I study hard for the last couple of exams this quarter Im going to do as good as I did last quarter. Geometry has been slightly easier for me because it has pictures, that I can rely on, and that has helped me a lot to improve in class. I also think that Im ready to go to next year's math class, because even though its going to be harder, I know that I can pass the class if I study hard. In general, I have gotten more confident in myself over the last quarters and I know I can do great in the class.

The Pythagorean Theorem

The actual definition of the Pythagorean Theorem is, Relation in geometry among the three sides of a right triangle.

What I understand from it, is that the Pythagorean Theorem is a way of showing the relationship of the three sides of a right triangle. It is a way of saying that the two legs that form the right angle squared, when added, give you the hypotenuse of a right triangle. The hypotenuse is those two squared sides squared. The equation to solve it is A2 + B2 = C2, A and B being the two legs that form the right angle, and C the Hypotenuse of the triangle. The Pythagorean Theorem is the way of showing the relationship of the triangle's legs.

GPA

On quarter 3, my final grade in math class was a 7, meaning that my GPA was a 4.0. I am very happy with the grade I got last quarter, because it really showed my improvement. I think that I like my grade, because it reflects all the hard work I did during this quarter. Its the best geometry grade Ive had this far, and Im really happy that I got a 7. I hope to keep up the good work for the rest of this remaining quarter, and I know I will keep it up if I study hard and do well on my tests. But in general, Im really happy with the grade I got on quarter 3.

February's 28 Days Change

February normally has 28 days, but there are some special years that adds another day and February has 29 days. Every four years this phenomenon happens, and the year has 366 days, this is called the Leap Year. This happens, because of the rotation of the Earth making the year be 365.4 days long. Therefore a new day is created every four years. I think that this is not a method is something that was done by the Earth is no problem at all for people all around the world. Although sometimes people get confused because we don't really keep track of the years, so sometimes its a little bit confusing. I think that if its something that was done by the rotation of the Earth is something that should be kept that way and we shouldnt change it, even though people want it to be changed.

Q3 Project

I think that this project might be interesting, because we are connecting other subjects with math. We are doing math and humanities at the same time. I think it could be a fun project, because you get to design your own treasure hunt in any country or city that you like. Maybe it will be a little complicated because you need a really clear map of the country/city, but i think its going to be a cool project. I believe that it will be an interesting project to complete, and that its going to be funner than the last couple of projects we have done in the past quarters, because we actually get to design our own thing, like the treasure hunt, where they need to go, and also advertise it, and prepare a portfolio that is good enough, so that people are attracted to the treasure hunt and are willing to go in it. I believe that its going to be fun to do, but that it will require lots of work to make a really good treasure hunt by following the steps they give you and the conditions.
